Having grown up in a military community, I quickly felt at home in Colorado Springs. I moved here from Manhattan, KS about seven years ago. Like many others, my martial arts journey simply started as an avenue to which better myself. I began learning muay thai in 2007 but not until I came back to the sport 2015 did I become truly immersed in the culture and lifestyle.
Training and competing in martial arts taught me how to set goals and hold myself accountable, how to preserve through failure, and most of all to find fulfillment in my day to day life. Through my own experiences I hope to inspire others to believe in themselves and achieve their greatest goals.
In a few a short years of training full time I qualified to represent team USA at the 2018 IFMA World Championships. I hold an amateur record of 15-6 (between MMA and Muay Thai) and recently earned my brown belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu. I am now a professional fighter in the nations biggest all-female MMA promotion - Invicta Fighting Championships.
In addition to my martial arts training, I am currently finishing my undergrad from Arizona State University and pursuing a graduate degree in sports psychology. When I am not training or coaching I like to relax at home with my husband, our pack of dogs, and indecisively scroll through Netflix.
Never be afraid to pursue your dreams because of the time it will take to accomplish it. The time will pass anyway.
