Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Coach
Larry Ruiz
Larry Ruiz is a BJJ black belt under Ben Westrich and a coach for grappling and MMA at Warrior Fitness Center.
Larry started in boxing as a youth competitor in the New York Golden Gloves, then found Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu through the Army Combatives program after joining the military in 2010.
That path shaped the way he coaches: practical, disciplined, and focused on the problem-solving side of combat sports. He works with students who want better grappling, better MMA habits, and a clearer way to train under pressure.
His competitive resume includes major IBJJF success at black and brown belt, including a Brown Belt Masters World Championship and American National medals.
