Frequently asked questions

What age can kids start martial arts at Warrior Fitness Center?

Class fit depends on the child and current program structure. The best next step is to book a consultation so we can place your child in the right class.

Do kids need experience before joining?

No. Most youth students start with no martial arts background. We teach the basics in a way that is safe, structured, and encouraging.

What age groups do you offer for kids martial arts?

Class fit depends on the child and the current schedule. Our team will help place your child in the right group based on age, attention level, and physical readiness during a quick consultation.

Is martial arts safe for younger kids?

Yes when it is taught with the right structure. Our youth classes emphasize control, supervision, and age-appropriate techniques. Safety is a coaching priority, not an afterthought.

Will martial arts help my child with focus and behavior?

Most parents tell us they see improvements in attention, respect, and self-control within the first few months. Martial arts teaches kids to listen, follow direction, and manage frustration, and those habits carry into school and home life.

Does my child need experience to start?

No. Almost every student starts with zero martial arts background. Coaches are trained to introduce kids to class flow, etiquette, and basic techniques in a way that feels welcoming rather than overwhelming.

Common questions

Direct answers from our coaches and staff

What kids classes are available?
Warrior Fitness Center offers kids martial arts with age-appropriate paths. Kids BJJ Minis is for ages 3 to 6, Kids BJJ is for ages 6 to 14, and Kids Muay Thai is for ages 3 to 14. If a parent is unsure where to start, the consultation helps match the child to the right class based on age, readiness, and goals.
Can teenagers train in adult classes?
Teenagers may be able to train in adult classes depending on age, maturity, goals, experience, and coach approval. Parents should not assume the child must stay only in kids classes or move automatically into adult classes. The consultation helps the team decide whether kids classes, adult classes, or a mix is the right fit.
What should parents expect for a child first visit?
Parents should expect a structured first visit where the team helps the child understand the room, the class flow, and basic expectations. Kids should wear comfortable athletic clothes, bring water, and wait on gear purchases until staff can help. The goal is confidence, discipline, coordination, and a positive challenge, not pressure to already know martial arts.
What are the kids membership options?
Kids memberships currently list Jiu Jitsu Only at $99.99/month, Muay Thai Only at $99.99/month, and Kids All-Inclusive at $119.99/month, each listed as per month for a 6-month commitment. Parents who are unsure should request a consultation so the team can help choose the right track.
Is there a family membership cap?
Immediate family memberships are capped at $350.00/month. No immediate family contract goes over that amount. The exact membership mix still depends on the adults, kids, and programs involved, so the team should confirm the details during consultation.
How should class-time answers be handled?
For schedule questions, answer every matching class time relevant to the query. Default to adult classes unless the user mentions kids or children, and say that kids classes can be pulled separately. Include Open Mat and BJJ Comp Class when relevant to adult grappling questions. Treat evening as after 3:30 PM.
