I grew up in Colorado Springs and graduated from Widefield High School in 2009. I started wrestling in middle school because my football coach told me it would make me a better tackler. Although I dreamed of playing in the NFL one day, I had more opportunities to wrestle in college than to play football, so I ended up committing to wrestling full time at Colorado Springs’ only NCAA Division I school, the United States Air Force Academy, where I peaked as the Team Captain and a national qualifier. After graduating, I quickly found jiu-jitsu and mixed martial arts, and have been training and teaching ever since. I am probably the first person you’ve met in the United States Space Force, and yes, I’m happy to explain what we do.
Your lack of dedication is an insult to everyone who has ever believed in you. Your discipline and work ethic are tributes to those same people. Live your life in a way that honors them, and most importantly, believe in yourself.
